Arizona HUNT

Rifle/ Muzzleloader Mule Deer Hunts

MUZZLELOADER

If you are pursuing a world-class desert Mule Deer, then our late season Arizona muzzleloader deer hunt is something you should consider. This hunt is challenging and not for hunters who need to see lots of deer, however the quality of bucks in the areas we are hunting can rival anything old Mexico produces. Hunters should expect to have a reasonable opportunity at a 180-200″+ buck on this hunt. This hunt takes place in late December during the beginning stage of the rut. This is a public land hunt however there are very low numbers of tags available so you will very rarely see other hunters in the field. This hunt takes place at about 1500′ elevation in the Sonoran desert and it is a very physically easy hunt. The application deadline for this Muzzleloader season is in early June, and this is a draw-only hunt. Generally, a non-resident will draw this permit within 8-9 years of applying. If you do not want to wait years to draw a tag then we do offer guaranteed tag options in both New Mexico and Old Mexico for this caliber of deer. Hunters must arrive in Phoenix, Arizona the day prior to the start of the hunt. Transportation to and from the airport is included in the cost of the hunt. Lodging is included however hunters are responsible for purchasing their own meals. The accommodations on this hunt are a travel trailer camp, hotel, or house.

RIFLE

If you are wanting to hunt big Desert Mule Deer without having to wait years to draw a tag or travel to Mexico then you should consider our early season Arizona rifle hunts. These hunts take place in late October through mid November and are pre-rut hunts. The deer density in these units is very low so hunters need to be mentally prepared to see very few deer. We do not suggest this hunt for hunters who need to see an abundance of game, however the quality of deer in these areas is very high. Hunters can expect to be hunting 160-180″+ bucks. This is primarily a spot and stalk hunt with lots of glassing and also some tracking. This is a public land hunt and you will encounter other hunters in the field at times.
