If you are pursuing a world-class desert Mule Deer with a bow, then our late season Arizona archery Mule Deer hunting is something you should consider. This hunt is very challenging and not for hunters who need to see an abundance of game. The quality of bucks in these areas we hunt is very high. Hunters can expect to have a reasonable opportunities at deer 160-180″+ and this hunt has produced almost 100% shooting opportunity over the past few years. The deer density is very low, so hunters must be mentally prepared to see very few deer. Hunters must be prepared to shoot longer distances and the stalking conditions for archery hunters are very challenging. We hunt these desert deer during the peak of the rut during the month of January. This hunt takes place at about 1500′ elevation in the Sonoran desert and it is a very physically easy hunt. The archery hunt runs the entire month of January and it is an over-the-counter permit. Hunters must arrive in Phoenix, Arizona the day prior to the start of the hunt. Transportation to and from the airport is included in the cost of the hunt. Lodging is included however hunters are responsible for purchasing their own meals. The accommodations on this hunt are a travel trailer camp, hotel, or house depending not the hunt location.
