Tom McReynolds is the President and Founder of Black Mountain Outfitters Inc. He grew up in a multi generational farming and ranching family in Arizona but sports and hunting were always his two true passions. He started hunting at the age of 5 and began professionally guiding hunters at the age of 20. After wrapping up his collegiate sports career he decided to start a company built around his second passion. In 2003 he launched the company and became the youngest licensed outfitter in the state of New Mexico at the time. After developing a successful program in New Mexico he then began building operations in other regions based around his same ideas. In his first 10 years as an Outfitter he personally guided the majority of the clients that Black Mountain served. That hands on experience molded a set of values and principles that turned a passion into one of the most successful big game hunting operations in the country. Since that time he has worked relentlessly to build a culture and brand of guides and staff that were devoted to these values and principles. In 2015 the business grew to a whole other level when he married his incredible wife Amy. She quickly became an integral and important part of the company on both the back end and the front end of the business. Their passion and partnership together has since made Black Mountain Outfitters one of the largest and most successful hunting companies in the world.
Black Mountain Outfitters Inc. (BMO) was founded in 2003 by Tom McReynolds, a young and ambitious hunting guide at the time. After graduating from college with a business degree, Tom had no desire to go out and get a “conventional job.” He decided to combine his passions of hunting, guiding, and entrepreneurship by starting an outfitting company. His three passions came together very quickly and within a year he had a New Mexico Outfitters license and was leasing one of the biggest ranches in the nation. After years of successful hunts, guiding hundreds of clients and honing his business skills, Tom started to build the brand and culture of what is now BMO.
Over the past 18 years, we have expanded our operations to three states and two countries with close to 1.5 million acres of premium hunting ranches. BMO is privileged to have served and built lifelong memories with thousands of clients from around the world.

Zach Lashley’s roots are well-established with multi-generations of outdoorsmen who have chased big game throughout the southwest. Early on, Zach would seize every opportunity to chase game throughout Arizona, where he grew up. His passion to be successful in these pursuits spilled over into his desire to have a career in the hunting industry. Fortunately for him, Black Mountain Outfitters had just the role. As Hunt Manager, Zach facilitates other hunters to realize their own hunting objectives. For some, it’s simply getting an opportunity at a cow elk hunt out west and for others, a chance at a monster bull elk or mule deer buck. Zach will ask the right questions to identify your pursuits and provide the options to meet them best. It is truly Zach’s desire to see other Hunters experience success and have an enjoyable hunting experience. His number one priority is building a long-lasting relationship where integrity remains central.
Growing up in Arizona, Kyle Brazelton spent most of his youth enjoying the outdoors. Developing a strong passion for fishing early on, Kyle spent a lot of his time outdoors with his dad and brothers wetting a line. It wasn't until a little later in life that he was introduced to the sport of hunting by his close childhood friend Zach. Simply starting out calling for predators, he was hooked. Many hunts later, Kyle’s passion turned into an obsession with the pursuit and love of chasing game. As with many among us at BMO, his passion created his drive for a career in the outdoor industry. He settled in right at home with a vital core Job with the BMO Family. Kyle wears different hats for Black Mountain Outfitters, from videographer and guide to managing all its social media accounts. If there is one person at BMO who does it all, Kyle would be the guy.
