Youth Muzzleloader Hunts

General Info

We do offer a youth muzzleloader hunt in unit 13. This hunt falls in early October prior to any other gun hunts in the unit. It is an excellent opportunity for a youngster to shoot a great bull. The draw odds on the youth hunt in this unit are typically better than 50%. In order to qualify for a youth hunt in New Mexico, the hunter can not turn 18 years of age prior to the beginning date of the hunt. Any youth applying for the draw must successfully complete a valid hunter education prior to the application being submitted. Landowner tags are available for this hunt.
