New Mexico HUNT

Archery Bull Elk Hunts

Our archery elk hunts take place in West Central New Mexico during the month of September. The bulls are typically very vocal during this period which can make for exciting and action packed hunts. Almost every year several of our archery hunters get opportunities at 350”+ class bulls. Realistically hunters need to expect opportunities at 300-340″ bulls on any of our archery hunts. These hunts all take place in high desert terrain at approximately 7500′ elevation with pinion and juniper vegetation. These hunts are not physically demanding. The land we do hunt is some of the easiest terrain to hunt elk in the country. The style of hunting is spot and stalk, calling and locating, and sitting water sources.

The two units we mainly hunt are unit 12 and unit 13. In Unit 12 we offer mainly private land archery elk hunts but we do get a few unit wide tags that are very desirable. We lease and control access to over 500,000 acres of land in this unit. We also offer public land/unit wide archery hunts in Unit 13. Unit 13 is one of the biggest units in the state and is a primitive weapon unit. We generally harvest and hunt older age class bulls in unit 13. For both unit 12 and 13, we have guaranteed landowner tags available. Hunters can also use our draw service to obtain public land tags in the Outfitter Sponsored Draw.
