Our New Mexico Muzzleloader Mule Deer Hunting is perfect for hard-core deer hunters seeking the buck of a lifetime. Hunters should not expect to see high numbers of deer on this hunt, however the chances of seeing a buck over 200” are excellent. We control access to over 300,000 acres of private and public land that produces numerous 190”-200”+ deer. We generally run at a 50% kill, and a 75% shot success on this hunt. The primary hunting method on this hunt is “spot and stalk” with an occasional ambush on water.
The tags for this hunt are guaranteed through landowner tags, and the season typically falls at the end of September. We encourage our hunters to apply for the Public Draw in mid-March so that your tag is eligible for both private and public lands. If you do not draw a public tag then you may utilize a private land tag, however you must hunt our private property.
This hunt is not very physically demanding, however it does require some climbing and approximately 1-5 miles a day of hiking. The weather this time of the year is typically warm; however temperatures generally stay below 90 degrees.
