Archery Elk
General Info
Our archery elk hunts take place in the month of September during the beginning to middle stages of the rut. We consider this the best opportunity to kill the biggest bulls in our areas. The bulls are typically very vocal during this period and the activity level makes for some of the greatest experiences that archery hunting has to offer. In 2004 one of our archery hunters killed a bull that scored 427 P&Y and is still one of the top ten elk ever killed with a bow in the world. Every year we have archery hunters who have encounters with bulls of that caliber.
We guarantee that during the September archery hunts, the biggest and best of the herd bulls are on the move and looking to breed. We do offer archery landowner permits for those hunters who are not successful in the public draw. We do offer a combo archery Mule Deer option on this hunt for a trophy fee. There are world class mule deer in both units 12 and 13. Hunters will typically see a handful of 180”-200”or better Mule Deer during an archery elk hunt.
